It's a mystery! Who is this man?

Sherlock Holmes- The Adventure of the Empty House
Read the text and answer the questions below
“So who do you suspect?” asked Watson.
“I’ll tell you later. There are several points which remain unclear in this case. We are both prepared to agree that no one could have entered the room during the night. Yet here we have a man, with three bullet wounds to his chest, who clearly can’t have killed himself. The killer must have left the building by another door. But how?”
“He might have left through a secret exit, in the basement perhaps?”
“Impossible, my dear Watson” replied Holmes. “We would have found it by now.”
“Not necessarily. He could have concealed it by covering the hole. We should have a look downstairs”
“Perhaps, but I think you’re missing the bigger picture. Put yourself in the place of the killer, why would you have left the murder weapon? He could have taken the gun with him, leaving no evidence. Instead, the gun was left on the floor, with fingerprints all over it.”
“Are you suggesting that the murder was staged?” replied Watson, “That Dr Johnson could have been killed for another reason?”
“If this really was about the money, then he could have taken the safe full of cash on the desk, but he didn’t. There must have been another motive. Something a little closer to home.”
“His family?”
“I think we ought to question his children immediately. In my opinion the killer might have never left the building.”

English student found dead behind locked door at his own party

Tom, an student at MILI in Montpellier, has been found dead at his own birthday party this weekend. His body was found in the bathroom, by his French butler, Eddy le Blanc, at 10:45 PM. Another guest had overheard Tomhaving an argument in the bedroom earlier that night with his girlfriend, Cecile. Jack, a close friend of Tom, who had brought him a pet cobra as a present that night, told the London News “I’m devastated.” A key suspect in the case is karate black-belt, Guilhem, who came to the party to see Tom's girlfriend, Cecile. Rumour has it that they were having a secret relationship. We do not know how Tom's mysterious death happened. All we know is that the door was locked from the inside, there were no blood stains and no windows in the room. It’s going to take some serious detective work to uncover this mystery.
